Description

On our way to the lighthouse in Akrotiri, we can stop to visit the church of the Dormition of the Virgin Mary (Kimisis tis Theotoku). The church was built in 1857, when the icon of the Virgin was found at a nearby point. On her saint's day, there is a big local festival (panigyri) in the church's courtyard.
