Description

A bust in honor of the shipowner, Mr. Loukas Nomikos, who was a founder and great benefactor of the adjacent parish church of Saint George (Agios Georgios) of Oia. The monument was erected in 1967. Its marble column features a sketch of the shipowner's 230 ton sailing ship 'Taxiarchis,' which was built in Syros in 1893.
