We can reach the church of the Prophet Elias (Profitis Ilias) of Oia, which is on Path 9 which connects Oia with Fira, either by following Path 9 from Oia past the little church of Saint Basil (Agios Vasileios, 750 meters from Oia) or by walking from the settlement of Finikia for less than 10 minutes on a short uphill path that starts at the road and ascends cobblestone steps to the little church. From here the path to Oia becomes cobbled, and as we head downhill we can admire all of Oia as it stretches out in front of us. If it is sunset time, you will enjoy a feast of colors and a scene that seems to belong in a painting.
