Description

The settlement of Mesa Gonia (or Episkopi Gonia) is very close to Kamari (in the south central part of the island), 6 kilometers from the capital, Fira. The village's inhabitants used to earn their living through the production of wine in the wineries. Over the years, after the devastating earthquakes, many abandoned Mesa Gonia to settle in the coastal village of Kamari. In Mesa Gonia we can find many little churches and mansions.
