Description

At the northeastern edge of the Santorini Airport, a 70 meter high rocky hill called Monolithos stands out. This hill gave its name to the coastal settlement that extends east of it. A small church was built on the hill to honor Saint John the Baptist (Agios Ioannis o Vaptistis), which celebrates with a small festival on May 29.
